The following are the general steps to tie-dye beach towels:

1.Pre-dyeing treatment:

In order to ensure uniform dyeing during the tie-dyeing process, the fabric needs to be treated before dyeing. Because the fabric often carries sizing, auxiliaries and certain natural impurities. Pre-dyeing treatments include:

a. Desizing: The purpose is to remove the sizing material. Alkali solution, oxidant or amylase and other agents can be used to boil the fabric with water to desizing. Dosage: The agent is 3% of the weight of the cloth, and the water is about 30 times the weight of the cloth.

b. Refining: The purpose is to remove natural impurities and residual sizing on the fiber. Use caustic soda and boil water. Dosage: Caustic soda is 3% of the weight of the cloth, and water is about 30 times the weight of the cloth.

c. Bleaching: Used to remove pigments and residual impurities, sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide is often used to boil water. Dosage: 3% of the weight of the cloth is bleach, and about 30 times the weight of the cloth is water.

d. Ironing and standby: Use an electric iron to iron the rinsed cloth for drawing patterns and bundling.

2.Bundling:

Use drawing powder to mark the designed pattern on the cloth or use drawing liquid to draw it, and then tie or sew the cloth. After completion, soak it in water, take it out and let it dry for a while, and put it into the prepared dye liquid or soak or boil it for a certain time after it stops dripping, then rinse it with clean water and dry it.

3.Dyeing:

Put the tied fabric into the dye pot and boil it to achieve the effect of high-temperature dyeing. The most commonly used are direct dyes and acid dyes. Direct dyes are easily soluble in water and are suitable for dyeing cotton, linen, rayon, and silk. Acid dyes are bright in color, easy to match colors, and are most suitable for dyeing animal fibers.

4.Post-dyeing treatment:

The bundles after drying can be untied when they are not completely dry, and ironed flat with an iron while they are wet to complete.

Lettering and Personalization
Want to create a tie-dyed towel with your name and other personalized content? It’s easier than it sounds!

Before we begin the tie-dye beach towels process, simply spell out your name on the towel with tape. Leave the tape on while you tie-dye the rest of the towel. Once the towel is completely dry, wait six to eight hours before removing the tape. Your name should appear in white wherever the tape is. It will be easier for people to identify your beach towels if your brand or your clients have their name on their beach towels, while also providing more awareness for your brand.
